Catch Me, I'm Falling

Mark had just finished setting up the projector to screen his documentary. He sighed as he looked at the clock. December 24th, ten p.m. Eastern standard time. "I can't believe a year went by so fast." He said softly, smiling at the first shot of the film, Roger with his guitar from this time last year. He'd just gotten it back after selling the car he'd used to get to Santa Fe and back.

Roger smiled as he strummed softly on his guitar, he had did it "I found my song." he said softly.

Mark smiled, before sighing softly. "You found your song, now if you could just find Mimi."

Roger looked down "I tried..... You know i tried." he said softly.

Mark nodded, turning back to the footage with a sigh. "Me, self isolated as always......" he said.

Mark smiled as Benny's image appeared on the screen. "In honor of Benny's wife," he said, laughing at the mumbled "Muffy," he got from Roger. "Allison," Mark replied. "She had Benny pulled from this project," he said, just as the projector caused a fuse to blow.

"Then again, maybe we won't screen it tonight." Roger said with a chuckle.

Mark simply shook his head. "I wonder how Alison found out about Mimi?"

Roger shrugged softly "Maybe a little bird told her."

"Tutoring again?" Roger asked as they looked at their friend.

"Nope," said Collins. "Back at NYU?" asked Mark. "Negative," Collins replied. "I rewired the ATM at the Food Emporium, now all you need is the code." "What code?" asked Mark. "A-N-G-E-L." replied Collins. "But the real way to get people like Benny is tit them where it hurts, their wallet." he said. "We could open up that restaurant in Santa Fe like we always wanted, over change the rich people, someday we'll get to Santa Fe."

Collins nodded. He knew Roger probably did when he left. "Mark! Roger! Anyone help!" yelled Maureen as she and Joanne stood outside. Joanne was carrying a very very weak Mimi. "Maureen?" said Mark as he ran to the widow. "It's Mimi, I can't get her up the stairs!" yelled Maureen.

"No!" Roger said as he stook there in shock.

Mark ran outside and carried Mimi into the loft, Maureen and Joanne following. "She was huddled in the park in the dark and she was freezing and begged to come here," said Maureen.

Roger quickly cleared the table off as they bought her upstair " Over here Oh, God." he said softly as his heart started to pound.

Mark gently placed Mimi on the table. "Roger?" Mimi asked weakly.
